From my experience to yours: reflections, tools, and encouragement.

I’m Debbi McCune. My husband, Doug, and I have been together for 32 years. Since his diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) in 2013, and later Dementia and Alzheimer’s in 2016, I’ve been by his side as both his wife and care partner.

This journey has been a mix of heartbreak and discovery. I’ve learned so much about myself, this complicated disease, and how to keep going with love and resilience. While there’s no denying how tough it can be, there are still moments of beauty, joy, and strength that help me keep us going.

I started this blog to share our story, the lessons I’ve picked up, and insights that I hope will help other care partners like you. If you’re walking a similar path, know you’re not alone. Together, we can find hope, connection, and a little light along the way.
